Saturday January 19, 2008 Forty-seven places in Antarctica were warmer than the Twin Cities today, according to the Weather Underground (http://wunderground.com).
Took the bus to Southwest Senior Center, where I ordered Fare For All food for next month and picked up the January package. In my warmest clothing, I was almost warm enough. Ice formed on my whiskers, but not on my glasses.
I decided to skip the Mnstf meeting.
***Night thoughts, slightly edited:
We have perhaps 40,000 years of folklore. There’s no reason why fiction about magic should be confined to elements suitable for Remedial D&D.
There is no reason why societies and cultures in future-setting stories should be confined to repetition of the last few thousand years of history.
